Edgaras Motiejunas, 24, pleaded guilty to manslaughter of 68-year-old Evaldas Simanaitis, who died after confronting car thieves outside his home.
CCTV footage revealed that Simanaitis had been shouting at two men attempting to break into cars before he was struck in the face.
After being injured, Mr. Simanaitis was hospitalized but succumbed to his injuries ten days later, highlighting the tragic consequences of seeking to intervene.
