Busy Putney road closed after flatbed lorry crashes into bridge near station

Wandsworth Council confirmed the closure of Upper Richmond Road near East Putney Station at around 12.50pm today due to a flatbed lorry striking a rail bridge.

Firefighters were called to the incident after a flatbed lorry carrying a digger smashed into a rail bridge. No injuries have been reported.
