A Portuguese Love Affair has been a cherished destination in east London for 11 years, now aiming to expand by creating a supportive queer space called Love Affair Basement.
The venue will transform from a creative hub during the day to a vibrant performance arena at night, featuring various artistic expressions including cabaret, cinema, and drag.
Dina Martins and Olga Cruchinho are crowdfunding £60,000 to establish a new kitchen, bar, and soundproofing to facilitate diverse community events and support for queer youth.
Each donation to the crowdfund could reward supporters with perks like cocktails, tote bags, or recognition on the L.A.B wall, encouraging community involvement.
