Police received multiple reports about two men with a machete near Sudbury Hill train station, leading to an immediate deployment of armed officers.
The National Police Air Service assisted during the search, which resulted in the discovery of a machete on Greenford Road.
The rapid response of armed officers enabled the arrest of the two men within a timeframe of just 15 minutes after the initial sighting.
A spokesperson confirmed that the suspects were taken into custody for possession of an offensive weapon following their arrest.
