Another New Skyscraper Is Coming to the City
Briefly

Construction of a new 31-storey building is planned for 130 Fenchurch Street, replacing the existing Fountain House. This significant change to the City skyline includes features like office spaces, 600 sqm of public areas, a cultural space, and a green terrace. The demolition of the current structure will occur in 2026, with the new build set to be completed by 2030. Plans are led by Aviva Investors and CO-RE, with a planning application to be submitted following the conclusion of public consultations.
Fountain House at 130 Fenchurch Street, built from 1954 to 1958, will be demolished to make way for a new 31-storey building with a staggered design.
The new 130 Fenchurch Street will feature office space, a public area with food and retail, a cultural offering on level 17, and a green terrace on level 20.
Aviva Investors and developers CO-RE are responsible for the new building, which is set to complete in 2030 after demolition starts in 2026.
Public consultations for the planning application have concluded, and submissions to the City of London Corporation are expected this spring.
