Transport for London (TfL) marks 25 years of operation since its establishment in 2000, surpassing all predecessor names in longevity. To commemorate this milestone, TfL revealed a new silver roundel symbolizing its Silver Anniversary. Celebratory events started with buskers at Liverpool Street Underground station and will feature posters reflecting on TfL's achievements, including improvements to public transport services. The anniversary aims to highlight how TfL has enhanced the lives of Londoners socially and economically, with various activities planned throughout the year, including a program from the London Transport Museum.
London's transport network - and the thousands of colleagues who keep London moving every day - are part of the fabric of all our lives.
Since 2000 we have delivered momentous positive change across the city and on our services.
TfL 25 will showcase the many ways we have improved the lives of all Londoners socially, culturally, economically and environmentally.
The new silver anniversary roundel will appear on a range of new posters across London.
