'Pathetic, embarrassing, disrespectful' fans outraged at new English league rebrand
Briefly

The rebranding of the Women's Super League (WSL) and the Championship by Women's Professional Leagues Limited has incited considerable backlash from fans. The Championship's new name, WSL 2, has been deemed a regressive step, as it resembles the former branding associated with men’s youth leagues. Fans took to social media to express their disappointment regarding the changes, with critiques focusing on the lack of identity and the abrupt transition back to a less favorable naming convention. The overall sentiment reflects a sentiment of disrespect towards the fans and the league’s evolution.
Pathetic, embarrassing and f*cking disrespectful not to mention it looks like it was made by a 5 year old on ms paint.
It looks awful, congratulations on something we absolutely didn't need. And we will still call it the Championship (that was a good change, going back not the answer).
Wasn't the whole point WSL2 was renamed to Championship to give its own identity in the first place? Why revert back.. Like what benefits come from this, at least explain the reasoning.
