"I think you think like, if you believe in God, you believe in God more. And I'd like to think that God thinks that I'm going to straighten out our country," Trump stated concerning his faith post-assassination attempt.
"I'm not supposed to be here. I'm supposed to be dead. By luck or by God, many people are saying it's by God I'm still here," Trump remarked after his shooting incident.
"Our country is so sick and it's so broken. And maybe that was the reason, I don't know. A lot of people have said that," he claimed, reflecting on the state of the nation.
"Obviously, somebody should have been on top of that roof. And there were some problems. But I have to tell you, Secret Service… They were on top of it," Trump acknowledged concerning his security detail.
