Rubble. Sewage. Desperation for Clean Water. This Is Gaza After Ceasefire.
Briefly

Despite a four-week ceasefire in Gaza allowing humanitarian aid and family reunions, significant suffering persists. While markets are now stocked with food previously out of reach, the damage from the war is catastrophic. The Israeli occupation has decimated vital infrastructure, leading to severe living conditions. Specific neighborhoods, particularly al-Zaytun, have faced relentless bombardment, further exacerbating the crisis. Although the ceasefire brings temporary relief, it cannot reverse the tragic impacts on Gaza's people and their homes.
The ceasefire has allowed families to reunite after lengthy separation. Even now, it feels surreal to have them back with me.
Markets are now stocked with food we had been deprived of for so long - chicken, fruits, vegetables, and even chips and candy.
Despite alleviating some suffering, the ceasefire alone cannot undo the immense devastation inflicted on Gaza.
Gaza has been pushed back to the Stone Age, reduced to a landscape of rubble and ruin.
