From northern Iraq to Lebanon to Pakistan to the Red Sea, an array of strikes and counterstrikes over the last several days are compounding fears that Israel's assault on Gaza could escalate into a full-blown regional war.
We shouldn't think that absent an active act of deescalation that this won't continue spiraling outward throughout 2024.
