Michael Sparks, the very first rioter to breach the US Capitol, was sentenced to 53 months in prison for his role in the January 6 rioting.
Video evidence revealed Sparks entering through a broken window while disregarding shouts of 'don't go in,' showcasing his blatant disregard for safety.
Sparks, who posted 'We want a civil war' before the incident, demonstrated escalating agitation inside the Capitol, declaring, 'This is our America!'
The Department of Justice continues to pursue charges against individuals involved in the Capitol attack, with over 1,488 cases initiated since January 6, 2021.
