Biden says he would've beat Trump in 2024 - but doesn't know if he could've finished another term
Briefly

President Biden remarked, "It's presumptuous to say that, but I think yes," he believed he could have beaten Trump in 2024. Despite acknowledging uncertainties, he stressed he was not ready to serve at 86 years old.
Reflecting on his 2024 prospects, Biden noted, "When Trump was running again for reelection, I really thought I had the best chance of beating him. But I also wasn't looking to be president when I was 85 years old, 86 years old."
Biden underscored the differences, stating, "I think I could’ve done what Kamala couldn’t, and that’s based on the polling at the time that showed I was losing to Trump."
Rep. Angie Craig asserted that if Biden remained the nominee, "Trump would have taken, I believe, 30 to 40 House seats with him," illustrating the electoral challenges he faced.
