Slain NYPD hero Jonathan Diller's widow covers her ears in court as husband's last moments are described
"Defense attorney Jamal Johnson claimed, 'All of the [Command Response Team] officers in this case, they are invested. They have a motive to lie.' This statement was made during the trial of Guy Rivera, accused of killing NYPD officer Jonathan Diller."
"Prosecutors presented bodycam clips that depicted Rivera shooting Diller, who was mortally wounded, and then smiling as he was taken down and handcuffed."
Stephanie Diller, widow of NYPD officer Jonathan Diller, was present in court as details of her husband's death were recounted. She covered her ears and looked down as the defense attorney for accused killer Guy Rivera suggested police had motives to lie. Diller was fatally shot on March 25, 2024, in Far Rockaway, leaving his widow to raise their toddler alone. Bodycam footage presented by prosecutors showed Rivera shooting Diller and smiling during his arrest.
