Tyresse Minter, 30, received a lenient sentence of two to four years for the strangulation death of his stepson, Corde Scott, 15. The boy's mother, Karen Glenn, expressed her anguish and outrage at Minter's actions, which included posing for photos at her son's grave and attempting to ensnare her with emotional manipulation. She condemned Minter for taking the life of her son, whom he should have protected. Despite the plea deal, Glenn sought a harsher penalty and articulated the deep emotional trauma inflicted on their family.
You are the reason I had to bury my child, which no mother should have to do. Moreover, that my husband, who I should be able to trust with our children, caused the death and mental trauma of my children.
I miss my son so much. You said to me you don't care what people think about you, only what I think, and I think you're a child killer.
What you did to Corde was inhuman and to do this with me on the phone and your daughter present is nothing less [than] barbaric.
The most outrageous part of Minter's actions after young Corde's death was him having the gall to ask her to stay together with her.
