CEO Scott Cessar added that as he assumed the role of the firm's CEO, he and the firm's management team realized the 300-lawyer firm could benefit from adopting Big Law strategy as it continues to compete in a consolidating market. "We wanted to see what we can learn from [larger firms] to improve our management structure, our financial performance," Cessar explained. "Just going through the process of interviewing, we learned a lot of things."
