""harmful sexual practice", and marriage as "the union between one man and one woman", while claiming that gender-affirming healthcare caused " lasting damage ""
An employment tribunal by eight Darlington Memorial Hospital nurses is scheduled to begin on Monday 20 October following a similar case in Scotland. The nurses have taken legal action against County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust because a transgender colleague uses the female changing rooms. Trust policy permits trans staff to use single-sex changing rooms, toilets and showers that match their gender. The nurses allege sexual harassment, discrimination, victimisation and a failure to respect their right to privacy under Article Eight of the European Convention on Human Rights, and say they feel unsafe. The claim is supported by the Christian Legal Centre, a sister organisation of evangelical Christian Concern, which has described homosexuality as a "harmful sexual practice", defined marriage as "the union between one man and one woman", and claimed gender-affirming healthcare causes "lasting damage".
