""Growing up as a closeted gay man with an obsession for the game, I rarely saw myself reflected in it. With Armour, we want to tell a story that's raw, authentic and filled with hope - not just for the queer fans craving an idol, but the young players coming up the ranks who need a role model""
Armour is a 10-episode YouTube series, each episode lasting ten minutes, that follows fictional Premier League club Fountains Athletic FC and rising star Harry Slade. Harry is an England international whose world unravels after a risky hook-up leads to his sexts being published by a tabloid. He faces a choice between being outed by the press or telling his story on his own terms. The series stars Jordan Luke Gage as Harry and features Alexandra Burke as Lorna, the first Black female manager of a men's club, alongside Aedan Duckworth, Kate James, Alex Britt, and Will Fitzgerald. Tim Reynard created the series from his experiences growing up gay and closeted, and Josh Cavallo consults to ensure the story and performances feel authentic and grounded.
