"You've got to deal with us, because God has called us into this church," emphasized Brother Christian Matson, a Catholic monk in Kentucky who came out as trans. He highlighted that the church shouldn't exclude transgender individuals as it's God's church that embraces diversity.
The Catholic Diocese of Lexington supported Brother Christian, acknowledging his decision to come out as transgender and stating he has long been dedicated to living by the evangelical counsels. Bishop John Stowe accepted his profession, appreciating his commitment to the church through contemplation and artistic work.
