Mitsui Fudosan America Gets Nod for DTLA apartment tower
Briefly

The 50-story tower to be built by Mitsui Fudosan America on 754 South Hope Street in Downtown Los Angeles will feature 580 residential units, ground-floor shops, restaurants, and a parking garage convertible to additional apartments.
The tower's design by Gensler includes a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with amenities such as a pool, gym, spa, juice bar, yoga and fitness areas, barbecue spots, dog run, and pet area, covering a total of 555,000 square feet in Mid-Century Modern style.
Mitsui Fudosan America will pay $4.9 million for development rights and contribute another $4.9 million for affordable housing. Despite facing environmental concerns, the project overcame three appeals and will be one of the first towers in a new development south of 7th Street in Downtown LA.
