"He said, 'Have you lost your mind?' He thought I wanted to move into it. Living there, she said, was never the plan. Instead, Trahan turned the house into a carefully preserved pop-culture time capsule. Over the past two years she has added roughly 400 props and Easter eggs referencing moments from the show."
Tina Trahan bought the Studio City home featured in the exterior shots of the 1970s sitcom "The Brady Bunch" for $3.2 million in 2023 after spotting it on Zillow. Recognizing the iconic split-level ranch home from the show's opening credits, she was drawn by nostalgic childhood memories of watching reruns. Her husband, former HBO chief Chris Albrecht, initially questioned the purchase, but Trahan clarified she never intended to live there, fearing damage to the preserved space. Instead, she transformed the property into a pop-culture time capsule by adding approximately 400 props and Easter eggs referencing moments from the show. After a two-year effort, the Los Angeles City Council granted the house Historic-Cultural Monument status.
