Llama San, the celebrated Nikkei cuisine restaurant in New York's West Village, will close its doors on June 7 after nearly six successful years. Chef Eric Ramirez's culinary interpretation has received widespread acclaim, significantly impacting the appreciation of Peruvian flavors globally. The announcement was made on Instagram, appreciating patrons and team members for their support throughout the journey. Llama San, with its notable accolades, will leave a culinary mark as Ramirez continues to pursue his remaining Peruvian ventures, including Llama Inn in Brooklyn and his new establishment in Hudson Yards.
After almost 6 years in business Llama San will be closing on Saturday June 7. It's been a wonderful ride and a great pleasure to serve you while showcasing Peruvian ingredients and the magic of Nikkei cuisine.
Llama San was a clear hit from the beginning, nabbing a three-star review from the New York Times and was named Restaurant of the Year in 2019.
