After selecting fresh green chiles, slice or chop them and freeze in ice cube trays, then transfer to a freezer-safe bag. Canned chiles can also be frozen without slicing.
Frozen green chile cubes can be used in various recipes like soups or stews directly from the freezer. Thaw whole chiles in the fridge to avoid sogginess.
