Hold on to your tortillas for dear life because a taco 'death match' is coming to Long Beach
Briefly

"We'll have some known tacos, and we have some very untraditional stuff that I think is going to bring some very exciting new flavors that people aren't used to," said Sal Flores, a co-organizer of the new event Saturday, Nov. 2 that will pit 10 local taco makers against each other in a daylong competition in the streets of downtown Long Beach.
"Each of the chefs will create one taco to someone as an ofrenda. For example, if their grandma loved mole they'll have that, so these are tacos that are going to be exclusive to this event," Flores said.
Competitors for the outdoor event include some of the area's most respected chefs and taco makers including food trucks like Asadero Chikali, which specializes in mesquite-grilled carne asada tacos.
And the breweries in attendance will feature some of the best in the country that just won gold medals at the Great American Beer Festival. They include Ambitious Ales, which just won gold in the Juicy/Hazy IPA category.
