El Pollo Loco's chicken tenders became available on April 23, after extensive testing. The tenders are lightly breaded with a Mexican-inspired spice blend and come in classic and spicy flavors. They are sold in two-, three-, and four-piece orders, with prices ranging from $5.99 to $11.99, or as combos with chips and drinks for $11.29 to $13.79. Customers can choose from three sauces: House Ranch, Pollo Loco Sauce, and Baja Lime Sauce. The product received positive feedback during testing, with only the addition of Baja Lime Sauce since the initial trials.
