Marcus Christiana-Beniger and Eunah Kang-Beniger opened Evangeline Swamp Room in December 2024, ten years after establishing Little Jewel of New Orleans. The couple prioritized their restaurant due to resource constraints, and recently purchased the historic building housing the new bar. The Swamp Room, influenced by New Orleans culture, features a carefully designed interior and serves both cocktails and Creole-Cajun food. Named after a poem about the Acadians, it aims to provide a vibrant and authentic experience in the heart of Chinatown.
