Maxi Kleber says he'll be re-evaluated in eight weeks after foot surgery
Briefly

The recent Luka Dončić-Anthony Davis trade also involves players Max Christie, Jalen Hood-Schifino, Markieff Morris, and Max Kleber. Currently, Morris is the only player from this deal ready to play, as Dončić faces a calf strain and Kleber is recuperating from foot surgery. Kleber will undergo re-evaluation in eight weeks, jeopardizing his participation this season. The Lakers, now short on big men after Davis's departure, must navigate roster adjustments without Kleber while relying on Jaxson Hayes as their main center.
"The latest is I had surgery," Kleber said. "I'm going to be re-evaluated in eight weeks and then we'll go from there."
Considering it's only a re-evaluation in eight weeks and returning from a broken foot is not a quick process, it seems pretty unlikely we see Kleber in purple and gold this season.
At the moment, only Morris is ready to play. Dončić is dealing with a left calf strain and is considered day-to-day.
Currently, the Lakers lack bigs, especially now that Anthony Davis has been dealt. Jaxson Hayes is the only healthy traditional center on the roster.
