LeBron James continues to manage ankle and foot discomfort and is deemed questionable for the Lakers' upcoming game against Charlotte. Coach JJ Redick stated that although James has been able to practice, his condition is day-to-day. On the other hand, Luka Doncic, newly acquired from Dallas and having played only two games with the Lakers, is set for increased minutes after the All-Star break, with coach Redick suggesting no restrictions on his playing time. The Lakers quickly face a challenging schedule with multiple games ahead after the break.
James, who didn't play in Sunday's All-Star Game in San Francisco because of lingering ankle and foot discomfort, has been listed as questionable for the Lakers game against Charlotte.
In the two games Doncic has played in with the Lakers since being acquired in a blockbuster deal from the Dallas Mavericks, he has averaged 23.5 minutes per game.
Lakers coach JJ Redick mentioned that James is day-to-day, and they will continue to manage his health for the rest of the year.
With six days off over the All-Star break, Redick stated that Doncic will be fine for an increased load, with no restrictions going forward.
