Tommy Edman happy to be reunited with 2023 WBC teammate
Briefly

The 2023 World Baseball Classic featured a diverse representation from MLB, including Tommy Edman, who represented South Korea. Born in Michigan to a South Korean mother, he became the first half-Korean player to join South Korea's national team. Edman's experience in the WBC allowed him to bond with Hyeseong Kim, who soon joined him with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Despite South Korea's early exit from the tournament, Edman expressed excitement about their proximity and camaraderie in the upcoming MLB season while addressing the uncertainties around his role in the Dodgers' lineup.
He's awesome. I was really excited. I enjoyed getting the chance to play with him for a few weeks back in 2023. What stood out to me was he's an incredibly hard worker, plays the game the right way and he's going to do whatever it takes to help the team win.
South Korea had a disappointing finish in the World Baseball Classic, failing to advance past pool play in a group where Japan was the only true powerhouse. This included an upset at the hands of Team Australia in the opening game of Pool B play.
