Recently DFA'd Ex-Dodgers Top Prospect Traded to Rival Giants
Briefly

Mitch White, who was recently designated for assignment by the Toronto Blue Jays, was traded to the rival San Francisco Giants for cash considerations. White is a Bay Area native, coming from San Jose.
White spent two seasons with the Dodgers, making his debut in August 2020 against the Texas Rangers. He showed promise early on, posting an ERA of 3.66 in 2021 and 3.70 in 2022.
Traded to the Blue Jays in 2022, White didn't live up to his potential, posting a 5.40 ERA over 10 innings this season. He owns a career ERA of 4.99 over 171.1 innings.
The Giants likely see potential in White and hope a change of scenery in San Francisco will help his career progress, even if Dodgers fans won't be able to root for him.
