Roberts was honored to be in attendance and remarked how great it was to reunite with some of his players and longtime friends, including Hall of Fame Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson.
Roberts, a San Diego native, has long been a fan of the Chargers but did previously express disappointment over their move to Los Angeles.
Monday's game also was a much more pleasant experience for Roberts after he was booed while wearing a Chargers jersey when they played the then-Oakland Raiders at StubHub Center in 2018.
