The Los Angeles Dodgers executed their first round of roster cuts in Spring Training, sending eight players to Minor League camp. Nick Frasso was optioned due to his 40-man roster status, whereas the other seven were reassigned. All players sent down can still participate in remaining Cactus League games. Frasso has shown promise with two strikeouts in two hitless innings. Other players, like Zyhir Hope, are meeting expectations with key performances, while others struggle with inconsistent outings and batting averages as the team looks ahead to the final games of the spring schedule.
The Dodgers optioned Nick Frasso; and Carlos Duran, Julian Fernández, Justin Jarvis, Ryan Ward, Justin Dean, Zyhir Hope and Josue De Paula were reassigned.
Frasso has two strikeouts over two hitless innings across a pair of Spring Training games (one start) this year.
Hope has met lofty expectations as a highly-touted Dodgers prospect and at one point had a three-game hitting streak.
