"The thing is when you lose a lot of weight, when you're dehydrated, that's what opens a person up to soft-tissue injuries," Roberts said on Monday. "We're very mindful of that."
"Mookie flew home early evening, late afternoon yesterday and arrived safely," manager Dave Roberts said before the game. "It just made the most sense for him to get back to a regular routine."
