Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Roki Sasaki, sidelined by a right shoulder impingement after just eight starts, compares his current injury to a previous issue from his time in Japan. Despite a less impressive performance, with a 4.42 ERA, Sasaki remains optimistic, planning to utilize his time on the injured list to fully recover and prepare for a strong return in 2025. Concerns regarding his recent command issues have been tied to the injury, impacting his ability to help the team succeed during a challenging season.
I did have something similar, but actually worse, and it was something that I was able to overcome and still perform.
I do feel like this is a good time to do that, so I want to make sure that I'm fully healthy and to be able to address anything that I had so that it leads to better performance.
The last two outings especially I wasn't quite happy with the overall performance.
Just looking at the team and where the team situation was, I wanted to really help the team in any way, shape or form.
