Dodgers reliever Blake Treinen's impressive rehab debut underscores his resilience, striking out all three batters faced after enduring two challenging years of injuries and surgeries.
"God saw me through a lot the last two years... I'm thoroughly enjoying this stretch of however much longer I have," said Treinen reflecting on his journey.
Treinen noted, "I didn't want to end injured... I've both prayed since I entered the game that I'd get to walk away on my own terms."
According to assistant pitching coach Connor McGuiness, "he's actually averaging the best depth on his sinker of his career" despite some decreases in velocity.
