Dodgers Plan to Launch Fan Clubs in Japan
Briefly

Japan's strong affinity for the Los Angeles Dodgers is evident through the success of Japanese players like Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto. With the recent acquisition of pitcher Roki Sasaki, excitement in Japan has surged. Plans are underway for the Dodgers to establish fan clubs in Japan to better connect with their international supporters, a move not commonly seen in Major League Baseball. The Dodgers are also scheduled to play the Chicago Cubs in Tokyo, presenting Japanese fans with a unique chance to see their favorite team live.
"We're working on some experimental things with adding fans and fan clubs," Stan Kasten, the president and CEO of the Dodgers organization, said. "That stuff hasn't started yet."
"That is something that Premier League and European soccer leagues already do, amassing international fans," Kasten said. "We're doing a pilot program to start that and see how it does."
