Dodgers News: Teoscar Hernandez Won Home Run Derby With Advice From Shohei Ohtani
Briefly

Teoscar Hernández made Los Angeles Dodgers franchise history by winning the 2024 Home Run Derby at Globe Life Field. He became the first Dodgers player to ever win a Home Run Derby competition since MLB introduced it in 1985.
"He said to hit the ball to left-center, to not pull it," Hernández recalled advice from Ohtani. "Because I had a better chance. Because the way my swing is, to go over there. It's far, but he said, 'It's better for you.'"
"If I have to bet, it doesn't matter who I'm going against," Hernández said confidently. "I'm going to bet on myself. People maybe underestimate me. And you can see it at the end when (Bobby) Witt was hitting all those homers, everybody was cheering for him."
