Michael Kopech, a vital part of the Dodgers' bullpen in 2024, has yet to pitch this season due to a right shoulder impingement and lingering forearm issues. He started the 2025 season on the 15-day injured list and missed Spring Training games. Kopech has been rehabilitating at Camelback Ranch but recently participated in a bullpen session. He expressed optimism about his progress, noting the necessity to build stamina before returning to games. With a stellar 2024 season behind him, his return could significantly impact the Dodgers' roster strength.
Physically, I feel great. I think it's kind of a long road back. Building up... whether you want to call it stamina or what have you, just building up to be able to pitch in games again is kind of a long road.
Kopech was extremely effective for the Dodgers after he was acquired from the Chicago White Sox at the trade deadline, with a 1.13 ERA, 29 strikeouts and 0.79 WHIP in 24 innings.
