"It was a moment of weakness and frustration, where he decided to take on a solid object that ultimately won the battle," said manager Dave Roberts of Banda's injury.
"Emotions kind of played into it, with the outing that he had last night. It's something that I know he regrets, we all regret. And he'll learn from it," Roberts added.
"It's going to be a few days without throwing, and then hopefully we can build him back," Roberts mentioned regarding Banda's recovery outlook.
Banda has been a fairly consistent reliever for the Dodgers, showcasing his ability to ramp up velocity to the upper 90s, giving a hard-throwing option.
