Dodgers' Dave Roberts Says Emmet Sheehan Has Been Shut Down From Throwing Following Setback
Briefly

Emmet Sheehan has been shut down from throwing again, Dave Roberts said. Just hasn't been responding the way they've wanted to. It's 'a longer term situation,' Roberts said.
He started throwing a few days after being shut down, but with the plan of having him start the year on the IL. The Dodgers transferred Sheehan to the 60-day IL at the start of the season with the hope of using most of that time to ramp him up.
Even if he started throwing soon, he probably would not be available until the All-Star break. It's unfortunate news for a promising pitcher the Dodgers were hoping could step in as the team's fifth starter this year.
