Initially struggling in the 2025 MLB season, Los Angeles Dodgers' outfielder Andy Pages began with a disappointing 4-for-34 slump. Conversations with manager Dave Roberts and president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman highlighted the organization's confidence in him. Roberts emphasized Pages' natural hitting ability, while Friedman expressed that support from various team members helped Pages relax and enjoy the game. This encouragement has led to significant improvements, with Pages currently hitting .282, including six home runs and 19 RBIs, proving his potential as a key player for the Dodgers.
"Hitting is not hard for him," Roberts said to The Athletic's Fabian Ardaya. "It's his superpower."
"It was helpful to him to hear from so many different people in the organization just how much we believe in him, for him to exhale and go out and have fun playing the game," Friedman said. "He's a really gifted natural hitter. There aren't a ton of those guys on planet Earth."
