"It's been a huge advantage for us in years past, having our Minor League players here and big league players train here, our chefs making breakfast and lunch, obviously the weather being perfect," president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman told DodgerBlue.com.
"It's been a challenge this winter. Making the most of it. We feel like it will be worth it in the end, but certainly a challenging offseason."
The Dodgers' willingness to invest in their facilities is a big reason why the team is so successful at player development and recruiting free agents.
Unlike the NFL Players Association, the MLB Players Association does not vote on Team Report Cards, so there's quantifiable data to show how the Dodgers compare against the rest of MLB in that regard.
