Chris Taylor and his wife Mary organized the second annual CT3 Foundation Polar Plunge in Manhattan Beach, concluding their offseason activities as Dodgers players prepare for Spring Training. The event raised funds for the Friendship Foundation, which supports individuals with intellectual disabilities, and the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, acknowledging their efforts during recent wildfires. The Taylors expressed their newfound awareness and commitment to these causes, highlighting the importance of community and vocational skills for those with special needs, and appreciated the firefighters’ contributions to the community.
After just partnering with the Friendship Foundation last year, the Taylors decided to add the LAFD Foundation due to the recent wildfires across Los Angeles County.
It's really opened up our eyes to this cause and really made it a cause that's dear to our hearts.
They're building a friendship campus that's almost complete. It's really big, it's really awesome.
To be able to recognize [the firefighters] here today... they really do deserve it and we're so grateful and appreciative of everything they've done for all of Los Angeles.
