Davis (plantar fasciitis) late scratch for Lakers
Briefly

Lakers big man Anthony Davis was a late scratch Friday night because of plantar fasciitis in his left foot, the team announced shortly before the game.
Jaxson Hayes started at center in Davis's absence, and Lakers coach JJ Redick praised him, saying, 'That was his best game that he's had since he returned from injury.'
Davis has played in all but two games for L.A. this season, averaging 25.8 points on 52.3% shooting over the course of the season.
Brooklyn has struggled recently, losing six of its last seven games, one of which was a 59-point loss to the LA Clippers.
