Initially, Juventus was promised around €50 million in prize money for participating in the FIFA Club World Cup, however, reports indicate the actual amount is likely around €15-18 million, possibly escalating to €25 million depending on their performance. FIFA has not yet confirmed the official prize money, causing concern about the viability of the financial benefits touted earlier. The expectation of substantial financial support was a critical factor for Juventus as they try to manage payroll and ensure long-term sustainability.
According to a report from Calcio e Finanza, the base level of prize money that each club is potentially getting is nowhere close to the €50 million figure we heard about when Juventus first qualified for the tournament.
Much of the talk was about the massive bag of prize money that will help the club during a time in which they are trying to bring down payroll costs and become much more sustainable.
