Valve has recently prohibited the use of the Simultaneous Opposing Cardinal Directions (SOCD) feature in Counter-Strike 2 to maintain fair play, urging users to disable it to avoid disruptions.
The SOCD feature allows players to move in two directions simultaneously, enhancing their ability to quickly peek out and get back into cover, which can significantly impact gameplay.
Razer and Wooting have acknowledged Valve’s ruling, with both companies advising players to turn off the SOCD feature to prevent account bans in Counter-Strike 2.
Despite Valve's current stance of not banning accounts for using SOCD, players are warned that future decisions could lead to account suspensions for not complying.
