Netlify Analytics is super simple and quick. My only real complaint is that it's limited to 30 days, but I've got free access to the feature so I'm happy to not care about that.
Netlify's analytics show much more traffic than GoatCounter. The truth is somewhere in the middle. Two old blog posts related to ColdFusion, oAuth, and Facebook had the most page views, not reported by GoatCounter.
I decided to take a stab at using a Netlify Edge Function for investigation. They can inspect an incoming request and transform the response. This has the result of just rendering the page as is.
