"The rest of the year and into next year, we will see people making their beds more spare and less pillow-centric," she says.
"Use one long bolster pillow, and then the rest should be your regular bed pillows or maybe some larger bed pillows with shams," Davis advises.
Avoid over-dressing your bed by opting for something substantial in the covers department, like a heavyweight bedspread or an oversize comforter.
Sometimes there are just too many items on your bed in general, which can cause it to look cluttered.
