Ubisoft warned that players who continued on a prior save faced "issues and progression blockers," compelling them to start new game saves after Patch 1.000.002.

In a message to players, Ubisoft acknowledged that forcing them to restart their game isn't ideal and offered an in-game Trailblazer trinket alongside 100 Ubisoft Connect Units as compensation.
