""Bragg and Wagner said they had also approached YouTube about content on the platform related to 3D-printed firearms.""
New York state lawmakers, led by Governor Kathy Hochul, are pushing for legislation to prevent the 3D printing of ghost guns, which lack serial numbers. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced that two 3D-printing companies have agreed to implement technology to block gun creation. Proposed laws would make it illegal to sell or possess gun CAD files without a license. The issue gained attention after the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, allegedly involving a 3D-printed gun. Efforts to regulate online content related to 3D-printed firearms are also ongoing.
