Zyxel is facing customer complaints due to application signature updates that led to reboot loops and various access problems on some firewall devices. The Taiwanese company clarified that the issue, which does not relate to any security vulnerabilities or CVEs, affects USG Flex boxes and ATP Series devices running specific ZLD firmware versions. Buyers are advised that resolving the problem requires physical access to the devices and utilizing a console cable, as no remote recovery options are available. Zyxel has since disabled the problematic application signature on its servers to prevent further issues.
We've found an issue affecting a few devices that may cause reboot loops, ZySH daemon failures, or login access problems.
The issue stems from a failure in the Application Signature Update, not a firmware upgrade.
